Friendship Centers in Charlotte and Lee Counties are Registering Seniors for Commodity Supplemental Food Program

The Friendship Centers in Lee County and Charlotte County are currently registering qualifying seniors for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program through the Harry Chapin Food Bank.

This program will provide eligible seniors with a free nutritious monthly food box, with items such as canned fruits and vegetables, juices, cereal, rice, pasta, cheese and canned meats. 

To be eligible you must be 60 years or older, have a gross household income ab or below elderly Federal Poverty guidelines of 130%, and be a resident of Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry or Glades Counties. To apply you must provide a photo ID and proof of address (drivers license, state-issued ID, passport or birth certificate.
