MJ Scarpelli Joins Senior Friendship Health Center as Director of Development and Marketing

(NAPLES) MJ Scarpelli is the new Director of Development and Marketing for Senior Friendship Health Center, a not-for-profit organization providing crucial medical and dental care to the aging population of Collier County since 1985.

“MJ joins the Senior Friendship Health Center team at just the right time,” said President and CEO Erin McLeod. “Her background and her community connections will be a tremendous asset to our organization as we continue to advance awareness and support for the life changing work happening at the Friendship Health Center in Naples.”

Scarpelli came to Naples from Dayton, Ohio in 2006 and has an extensive background in sales, marketing and business development in the healthcare field, as well as a passion for the nonprofit world and community service. Working with Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida, where she enjoyed fundraising and writing grants, was a turning point in her career. In her new position at Senior Friendship Health Center, Scarpelli will seek out, build and nurture relationships with new partners and supporters interested in helping people who need quality medical, dental and eye care geared specifically for the patient aged 50+.

She is a member of the Leadership Coalition on Aging, the Co-Chair of the Conference on Aging in Naples at Hodges University and an Ambassador for the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce.

The Senior Friendship Center Health Clinic, 2365 Stanford Court Unit 701, Naples (off Airport Pulling Road), is co-located with Health Care Network of Southwest Florida and Florida State University to provide comprehensive care, including primary geriatric care, specialty care, dental care, medication assistance, and patient education programming. The Senior Friendship Health Center is part of the Friendship Centers’ network of services throughout Southwest Florida, and shares in its mission: To promote health, dignity and quality of life throughout the journey of aging. For more than four decades The Friendship Centers has served persons 55 and older with programs and services, which include medical and dental clinics, activity centers, lifelong learning, meals at our centers and delivered to the homebound, caregiver support, adult day services, supportive aging services and volunteer opportunities. More than 1,000 volunteers give time valued more than $3 million annually. The Friendship Centers serve Sarasota, Charlotte, DeSoto, Lee and Collier Counties.
