Graduates of the Powerful Tools for Caregivers course offered through the Friendship Centers' Caregiver Resource Centers in Sarasota and Venice have called this six-week program a "life changer." Now graduates of the class are invited to participate in special workshops enabling them to reconnect with other caregivers, to laugh, relax and learn  new Powerful Tools for Handling Life's Challenges.
Venice  Friendship Center's Classic Car Show Set for March 21
The third annual Classic Car Show is March 21 this year at the Venice Friendship Center. The show runs from 9:30 - 1 p.m. and will feature, in addition to an amazing collection of vintage automobiles, music, dancing, and food by the Venice High Band Boosters. 
Friendship Center Sarasota Onboard for Jazz Trolley March 4
The annual Jazz Trolley in Sarasota is always a treat. This year Betty Comora, Mike Evans and Friends will be featured at the Friendship Center in Sarasota (1888 Brother Geenen Way) one of nine venues in downtown Sarasota on the Trolley route.
'Little Sachmo' Author Featured Feb. 27 for Venice Speakers Series

Friendship Centers Selected for NCOA Project to Help Isolated Seniors Use Technology
The Friendship Centers are one of seven organizations in the country to be chosen by the National Council on Aging and Verizon to be a test site for the Digital Aging Mastery Program - a pilot to help isolated seniors use technology to connect online and age in place longer. 
Friendship Clinics in Sarasota and Venice Now Accepting Patients 50 and Older
Friendship Centers Clinics in Sarasota and Venice have lowered the age to 50 to better serve the needs of older adults in our communities. 

The Friendship Center in Sarasota is proud to be a site for AARP TAX-AIDE. Certified AARP TAX-AIDE Volunteers will prepare and e-file tax returns for seniors at no cost on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:30 am till 1 p.m. at The Friendship Center, 1888 Brother Geenen Way, Sarasota. Treasures, Trinkets & Tea Save the Date:  May 7, 2015
Buy Tickets Treasures, Trinkets & Tea will be from 2:30 - 4:30  p.m. May 7, 2015 at the Chelsea Center in Sarasota.  This elegant afternoon of tea, fun and friendship will have it all; champagne, caviar, sweet and savory treats, accessory fashion show, silent auction and accessories market place. Proceeds will benefit the Caregiving Centers at the Friendship Centers.

Veterans Day Ceremonies Nov. 11 at the Friendship Center Honor Tuskeegee Airmen; Exhibit Highlights African Americans in WW II
Opening ceremonies at 1 p.m. salute all Veterans who have served our country and protected our freedom.  Ret. USAF Lt.
