Q. What is Friends of the Center Membership?
A: It's an opportunity to show your support for all the programs and services you receive through the Center, and to receive discounts on classes, facility rental and more.
For just a few cents a day, you will help pay the costs to keep the center open -- including maintenance and overhead.
Our buildings are not owned or run by federal state of local government. Senior Friendship Centers is a non-profit organization and your support is essential for the future.
Q. What are the benefits of becoming a member?
The personal satisfaction of knowing you are supporting an organization that helps thousands of older adults in our community every day.
Reduced class fees on a variety of classes and activities at the Center, include -- fitness, balance movement, dance, arts & crafts, foreign languages and some special events. Classes are $2 for members and $4 for non-members.
Q. How do I become a member?
A: There are several levels of annual membership:
$50 for a single membership for anyone over the age of 50
$70 for couples, two people living at the same address, one over the age of 50
$40 for single seasonal membership age 50+ up to three months
$60 for couple seasonal membership age 50+, up to three months
FREE to all seniors over the age of 90
Membership runs a full year, from your date of registration to the anniversary of that date the following year, except for seasonal members. Applications are available at the information desks at

Member benefits include reduced class fees: $3 for members, $6 for non members. Membership fees are needed to help meet rising costs to maintain and run the Center.
