SARASOTA - There is good news for Sarasota County residents 18 or older who need dental care, but cannot afford it, and are without dental insurance. The Friendship Centers and the Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County are joining forces to provide dental care for qualified adults, thanks to funding through the Agency for Health Care Administration.
To qualify you must have an income below 200% of Federal poverty guidelines.
Eligibility screenings are conducted on a walk-in basis from 8 to 11:30 am and from 1 to 3 pm at these Friendship Centers locations:
Sarasota: Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, Rubin Center for Healthy Aging, 1900 Brother Geenen Way, 941.556.3232
Venice: Tuesdays, Pat Buster Health Clinic, 2350 Scenic Drive, 941.556.0054
Eligibility Screenings (for dental patients only) are also conducted at the Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County

- Health Insurance card
- Social Security card or number
- Proof of residents postmarked within the last 30 days
- Proof of income
