Giving Challenge May 6-7: Kids of Yesterday Find Friendship for a Lifetime
DONATE NOW Remember what it was like when you were a kid? Now flash forward and think of what that "kid of yesterday" can look forward to in the second half of life. With your help The Friendship Centers will be here for the "Kids of Yesterday" providing "Friendship for a Lifetime" for generations to come.  Take a moment to make an online donation of $25 to the Friendship Centers between noon May 6 and noon May 7 for the 2014 Giving Challenge. 
Earl Grey on the Fairway High Tea Luncheon April 17
Join us for the second annual High Tea Event, "Earl Grey on the Fairway" luncheon to benefit the Friendship Centers Living Room Adult Day Service program in Lee County. It will be held April 17 at Club Renaissance in Fort Myers. The program includes speakers on wellness and tips for caregivers, a fashion show and silent auction accompanied by a scrumptious luncheon with savory treats to enjoy. Tickets are $35. New research at Penn State shows adult day services can reduce stress for family caregivers. Senior Friendship Centers Living Rooms in Sarasota and Lee Counties are licensed by the State of Florida, and provide a safe, therapeutic program where your loved one can have fun, enjoy companionship and participate in activities.

Senior Friendship Centers is extending its support for caregivers through "Ten Minutes With Paula,"  a series of programs available at any time on Blogtalkradio.com. Hosted by Skip Cohen, the program looks at topics to help caregivers everywhere deal with the daily challenges of caring for a loved one.
The Senior Hunger Task Force - Senior Friendship Centers of Lee County, the Lee County RSVP Program, RSVP, Harry Chapin Food Bank and Stop Senior Hunger, a Comfort Keepers Initiative, are working  with area restaurants are to promote hunger awareness in support of older adults in need as part of Older Americans Month in May.
