It’s Mother’s Day Weekend, a great opportunity to pay tribute to the special ladies in your life, or to host a special themed table to impress your clientele.
A Night at the Follies April 11 at Friendship Center Sarasota
“A NIGHT AT THE FOLLIES," on  April 11 is a showcase of mature talent, from award-winning theatre, to choral music, tapdancing, ballroom dance  and harmonica, all rolled together in for an evening of pure entertainment Ziegfeld-style. The curtain goes up at 7 p.m. at The Friendship Center (1888 Brother Geenen Way, Sarasota). Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Proceeds will benefit the center. Giving Challenge May 6-7: Kids of Yesterday Find Friendship for a Lifetime
Remember what it was like when you were a kid? Now flash forward and think of what that "kid of yesterday" can look forward to in the second half of life. With your help The Friendship Centers will be here for the "Kids of Yesterday" providing "Friendship for a Lifetime" for generations to come.  Take a moment to make an online donation of $25 to the Friendship Centers between noon May 6 and noon May 7 for the 2014.  "My Big Redneck Wedding" Jan. 28 to Benefit SFC Charlotte
Join us at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 for a special performance of "My Big Redneck Wedding" at The Charlotte County Cultural Center Theatre, 2280 Aaron St., Port Charlotte. An all-woman cast stars in this musical comedy written and directed by Sue Vaughn.  Tickets are just $16, with $10 going to support the programs and services of The Friendship Centers in Charlotte County. Annual Venice Holiday Festival Dec. 5
The Venice Symphony String Quartet will play for the  Senior Friendship Center's Annual Holiday Festival at on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 5-7 p.m. at the Kathleen K. Catlin Center, 2350 Scenic Drive, Venice. A silent auction, Giving Tree, light hors d'oeuvres, refreshments, and photo ops with Santa  are featured at this fundraiser which will help support the critical needs of south Sarasota County seniors.
