"I thought it would be fun, as well as an honor, to have something I created used and enjoyed by so many members of the community," said Ringling junior Dax Norman, whose alligator design was among those selected for the "Beauty and the Bench" project.

$1,000 will sponsor a beautiful and functional bench hand painted by a commissioned local artist. These benches are placed throughout Sarasota County at pre-determined SCAT bus stops providing safe waiting areas for all ages.
