An intergenerational gardening collaboration with students from the Ringling College of Art & Design resulted in long-empty window boxes being filled with colorful flowers and the planting of an aromatic herb garden.
Partnerships and Education
A nonprofit, social services organization like the Friendship Centers believes in the value of forging partnerships with the communities we serve. In fact, it is absolutely vital to our survival. These might be government agencies, colleges and schools, chambers of commerce, religious organizations, or other non-profits. Check out our Affiliations section for an up-to-date list of our community partners in each of the counties where we have services. We are very proud that our reputation for stewardship in the area of senior services has made us an appealing and sought-after partner.
We would be happy to speak to your organization about our mission and programs. This educational outreach lets people know about what we have to offer, and can be the entry point to exciting new collaborations, such as college students who plant vegetable gardens at our Adult Day program or children who provide an inter-generational experience. There are endless possibilities, and our door is open to fresh ideas.
