PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE

A Collaborative Program with The Ringling

The Ringling Museum is pleased to announce Outside the Lines, a new monthly collaboration with the Senior Friendship Centers of Sarasota.

Beginning January 2020, Ringling museum educators will bring an open-ended art making activity to the Center.  This hands-on activity will be directly related to an object on view at the museum, allowing participants to learn more about the Ringling’s collection and to express their own creativity in response.  The Ringling educators will lead participants in a discussion about the featured artwork before facilitating the activity.

Outside the Lines drop-in sessions are open to all members of the Senior Friendship Center and advance registration is not required.  The Ringling will provide all materials and supplies. The program will run from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. on January 13, February 10, March 9 and April 13.

The Ringling invites all to pick up a paintbrush, put on a thinking cap, and join us for enlightening and lively art-making sessions at the Sarasota Center.
