Helping older adults successfully navigate the journey of aging.
Friendship Centers Services
“If it wasn’t for the Friendship Centers, I would have nowhere to go.” – A medical patient we have helped
Every day at the Friendship Centers, people are sharing the joys of new relationships, developing healthier habits, taking care of their medical conditions, volunteering to serve those most in need and learning new ways to improve their own lives and those of others. Our goal is to empower adults over 50 to be proactive about their aging, whatever their needs or stage of life.
Our main program areas are health and wellness, social engagement, caregiving, and supportive aging. We offer classes that exercise the brain and the body…create safety nets to combat poor nutrition, isolation and illness…provide support systems for caregivers and their family members…and arrange for in-home help that allows for aging in place. Our services are powered by hundreds of volunteers who devote their time to helping older adults successfully navigate the journey of aging.
